Our story - how it all started?

Personal Inspiration

My journey into the world of marine conservation began in 2009, during a mesmerising trip to the Maldives. As I explored the vibrant reefs teeming with colourful fish and thriving corals, I was filled with awe and wonder. The beauty and diversity of marine life captivated me, sparking a deep connection to the ocean and its inhabitants. Little did I know that this experience would shape the course of my life and inspire the creation of Marine Reefs.
After witnessing the devastating effects of coral bleaching firsthand in 2018, I knew that I had to take action. The once-lively reef that had filled me with joy was now a shadow of its former self, with bleached and dying corals stretching across the seabed. This grim reality served as a wake-up call, motivating me to do everything in my power to protect our marine ecosystems and restore their natural balance.

At Marine Reefs, our primary goal is to combat coral bleaching and promote the health and sustainability of marine habitats. We are committed to raising awareness about the threats facing our oceans and implementing practical solutions to safeguard their future.
